4.) Don't let e-stores waste your precious time - the net is supposed to save you time. If it takes more than 5 clicks to reach the order page and if you need to fill in a form over several pages - be wary. If the site needs to transfer you to another company for credit card transactions be careful. Make sure you understand which country you are now dealing with and if international transfer fees apply.

5.) Never email your credit card details, even when a store asks you to do so. Email is NOT secure!

Never reply to unsolicited emails with your banking details. If you believe your bank is asking you for these details ring them to confirm.

Always keep a record of the invoices you receive from online stores. If you don't receive an invoice, query it immediately and don't use that store again.
